Founded in 1846, the faculty has a proud history of first-rate business education. About 14,000 students are currently enrolled at the faculty. Each year the faculty of Business and Economics of the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, receives about 400 exchange students. They study for one or two semesters under the terms of a bilateral agreement between our faculty and their home university.

EU students do not need extra health insurance. They can apply for a European Health Insurance Card, which simplifies the process of receiving medical assistance during their stay in a European Union member state. Check with your insurance company/health service.
Students with strict academic requirements or who are in their graduation year should be aware that it is not a guarantee to be placed in the courses which they are required to take due to the limited places available in each course. Students should take this into account when they intend to study here and that it is possible that not all requirements can be met.

Students who wish to come to The Netherlands to study at the faculty of Business and Economics, have to check if they need a visa or residence permit. More information about visa procedures can be found on the Immigration page.
The faculty of Business and Economics reserves accommodation for exchange students for a period of minimum 1 semester and maximum 2 semesters. More details can be found on the housing webpage.
