Media, Information and Communication

The Media, Information and Communication (MIC) programme offers students the chance to improve their communication skills, learn about trends in the media world and how to be a content creator within an inspiring environment. Our department offers English taught minors. Each minor is a one-semester study programme (5 months = 30 ECTS).

Fall Semester: Students who wish to study at our institute during the 1st (fall) semester 2016-2017 need to apply before 9 May 2017.

Spring Semester: Students who wish to study at our institute during the 2nd (spring) semester 2016-2017 need to apply before 9 October 2017.

After nomination by your home university, you will receive a link to apply in our online application system. 
You will have to submit the following documents there: 

  1. Letter of motivation in English
  2. A clear copy of your valid passport or ID
  3. IELTS 6.0, TOEFL iBT 80 test report (If English is not your first language)
  4. Transcript of records of your home institute in English
  5. CV in English
  6. A short news article in English of max. 400 words (only for students applying for the International Journalism programme)

Students who are not studying at a partner university can apply as 'Free-mover", the tuition fee for one semester is €2100.

If you wish to come to the Netherlands to study at the Faculty of Digital Media and Creative Industries, you need to check if you need a visa or residence permit. More information about visa procedures can be found on the immigration page.

The Faculty of Digital Media and Creative Industries reserves accommodation for exchange students, which can be rented for a period of 1 or 2 semesters. More details can be found on the  housing webpage.
