Honours programmes

Are you willing and able to go beyond what your degree programme has to offer? An AUAS honours programme is an opportunity to develop additional skills and achieve your full potential. In the AUAS honours programmes, students take on innovative and challenging assignments under the supervision of highly motivated lecturers.

Who are honours programmes for?

Some students stand out through their independence, drive and creativity. They aren't afraid to set the bar high and enjoy the challenge of working with other high-achievers to achieve excellent results. Does this describe you? Read more about the range of honours programmes available per faculty or through the degree programme of your choice.

Honours Talent Modules and Honours Modules and Programmes

The AUAS actively seeks out talent. We believe that every student has talent, but that sometimes that talent needs to be stimulated. Easily accessible and with no admission requirements, Honours Talent Modules have been developed for first and second-year students interested in discovering whether honours programmes may be right for them.

Students seeking an additional challenge beyond that offered by their degree programmes may apply to do an Honours module or  programme. Students mostly take honours programmes in the third and fourth years of their degree programmes. Honours programmes allow these students to demonstrate their ability to perform at a level that exceeds that of standard higher professional education.

Excellence Association Amsterdam

The AUAS values its community of students pursuing honours programmes. The foundations of your professional network are laid during your years in education. The AUAS is proud of its students participating in honours programmes, which is why we wholeheartedly support the initiative of a number of these students to establish a dedicated study group, the Excellence Association Amsterdam (EVA). All students in an honours programme are welcome to join. This student network meets regularly and organises numerous activities. You can also find out more on the group's Facebook page.
