Digital Society School - Felipe Escobar Vega, Instrument Designer

“Dutch people are much better at thinking outside the box. Things are less hierarchical here and I’m getting loads of opportunities to develop myself. It’s great.” Felipe, born and raised in Colombia, had already worked as a designer in Germany, but feels much more at home in the Netherlands.

“I’m doing as many different things as I can. I’ve given workshops, devised the methodology for the Global Goals Jam and I’ve been a coach.” Felipe secretly finds speaking in front of a large group of students rather stressful, “but I’m getting more comfortable with it over time”.

The Digital Society School, an innovative education model, is a whole new challenge for Felipe. “It’s my hope that this approach to education will leave its mark on society.”
