The Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (AUAS) has partnered with Cormet to give substance to the food and drink concept. As partner and main contractor, Cormet will contract local Amsterdam-based companies who will provide alternating eating and drinking facilities across the various campuses in the city, for shorter or longer periods.
Through constant consultation with students and employees, each campus will continuously be adapted to the requirements, both in terms of look and feel and product range. The partnership between the AUAS and Cormet started on 1 January 2017. In total, three years have been made available to carry out the plans on each campus. This is in line with the housing plans, new construction and renovation.
Each campus has a central meeting place called the ‘Base’ in the centre of the campus, with various food formulas and additional services, where appropriate. Coffee corners, whether or not offering food, are offered based on demand. Kiosks and vending machines are scattered throughout the buildings and there are coffee carts in the central halls at peak times. Furthermore, food trucks can sometimes be found in outdoor areas.
