Completing your Bachelor’s degree programme Fashion and Textile Technologies at AMFI prepares you well for a career in the fashion industry. The three programme specialisations Fashion & Design, Fashion & Management and Fashion & Branding cover nearly all possible roles in the fashion industry at graduate level.
During and after your studies you can take advantage of the excellent contacts that AMFI maintains with the international fashion industry and business community. The AUAS programme is active on social media, including a LinkedIn Group for alumni and keeps in touch with invitations for events like iNDiViDUALS, byAMFI, Fashion Research & Technology symposia, end-of-semester presentations and graduation events like AMFI Transit.
As a creative talent in Fashion & Design you learn everything about form, colour, material and technique, but also about the social, economic and cultural backgrounds of fashion. You develop a personal vision on fashion design that you bring to life in collections and styling concepts. Our alumni have worked at brands including G-Star, Ann Demeulemeester, H&M, Lanvin, Adidas, ELLE and the Bijenkorf.
In Fashion & Management you develop a detailed understanding of the fashion industry. After graduation you use your insights and skills to buy, produce and sell apparel in the most effective way possible. Next to that you're able to offer answers to questions about sustainability. Graduates have worked for brands including Tommy Hilfiger, Hunkemöller, Diesel, Hugo Boss, Zeeman, Nike, C&A, Suitsupply and Coolcat.
In the programme specialisation Fashion & Branding you learn that a concept is the foundation of every fashion brand. The concept has an influence on the design, range, communication and sales strategies. You learn to develop and protect a brand strategy and use digital skills as well as knowledge of fundamental design principles and visual culture. After graduation students have worked at fashion brands (American Apparel, adidas, Diesel, Scotch & Soda, G-Star), magazines (Glamcult, CODE Magazine), trend, design and marketing agencies (Stijlinstituut, Concrete Associates, DDB, Solar Initiative) and companies (HEMA, Unit Creative Management, Sanoma).
