Admission requirements

To be eligible to apply to AMFI your qualifications must be equivalent to those to which Dutch students have to comply. Following your enrolment request, the programme will invite you to the selection.


EP-Nuffic assesses the value of foreign diplomas and whether or not they meet the requirements for admission. You should have completed secondary education at university entrance level and have a passing grade for Mathematics on your final diploma.

For example:

  • GCSE O-Levels in 4 subjects marks ranging from A*-C, + GCE in 2 subjects in AS-Levels (6 different subjects in total incl. Mathematics)
  • GCSE O-Levels in 3 subjects marks ranging from A*-C, + GCE in 3 subjects in A-Levels (6 different subjects in total)
  • BTEC Extended National Diploma (i.e. Fashion & Clothing, Textiles or Business Administration) (UK)
  • International Baccalaureate Diploma (International schools, UK and US)
  • Abitur or Fachhochschulreife (Germany and Austria)
  • Baccalauréat (France)

Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences requires an entrance level of IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL 80 to be considered for admission. For information, visit the AUAS page on the credential evaluation.


To register for an AMFI programme for the academic year 2017-2018, you must complete your enrolment request in Studielink by 15 January 2017. Once you have completed your enrolment request, you will receive the selection information via email. Completed selection assignments must be received by AMFI no later than two weeks before you participate in the selection day. Without an assignment, you cannot come to the selection day. AMFI advises you to also orientate yourself with other education programmes just in case you are not selected during the selection procedure.
