Are you ready to sign up for an unforgettable summer of learning new skills while enriching yourself in the wonderful city of Amsterdam? Do you want to apply for a summer course? Here's what you need to do:
First you need to know what course you would like to attend. Check the course pages for more information about the learning objectives, the lecturers and the requirements.
Do you need a place to stay? Please check our housing options. The application deadline has passed for securing housing through the AUAS. If you want to arrange housing on your own, you are welcome to do so. Please note that Amsterdam is a popular city, and hotel rooms are limited and can be quite expensive.
Time to apply! Check out the application procedure, and fill in our online application form.
You may need a visa, depending on what country you are from. Read more about which students need a visa and how to apply for one on our visa page.
We can't help you with this step. We can give you a tip however: book well in advance. Summer is a busy time in Amsterdam. Prices may increase as your arrival date approaches.
It is probably not something you want to think about, but we strongly advise you to take out insurance.
Bring your ticket and a valid passport of course! We recommend taking out cash to cover your expenses during your first few days in Amsterdam (for meals and your public transportation card). Around € 75 should do.
Even during summer the weather in Amsterdam can be tricky. It can get warm (20-25 °C), so bring your summer clothes. But please make sure to also bring a warm sweater and a rain jacket, just in case.
Wifi is available on campus. For places off-campus that don't provide wifi, please bring an internet cable. Please check for wifi-availability when you book your accommodation.
