Some students may need a visa to enter the Netherlands for the AUAS Summer School. Here you can read which countries need a visa to enter; you can also read how to get one.
The Netherlands is a member of the Schengen Agreement. Depending on your nationality and the length of your stay you may need a visa to enter the Schengen agreement area, which includes the Netherlands. Please see the website of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs for more information.
You can apply for a Schengen visa at the Dutch mission (embassy or consulate) in the country where you reside or are entitled to reside. In some countries, you may apply for a visa through a third party agency. You can find the addresses and websites of Dutch Embassies and Consulates here.
Applying for a visa is your own responsibility. AUAS Summer School does not offer any further assistance beyond what is described here.
A Letter of Acceptance may help you apply for your visa because it proves that we are indeed expecting your arrival. Once you have paid the tuition fee we can send you a Letter of Acceptance by (regular) mail and by email at the same time. We will only send Letters of Acceptance to those students coming in from countries where visa are necessary. Check whether your nationality requires a visa here. You may request a Letter of Acceptance by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The AUAS Summer School does not send Letters of Invitation to participants. However, a Letter of Acceptance can be requested after we have received your payment and it will serve the same purpose.
If for some reason you do not succeed in arranging a visa, you may cancel your application. Our general conditions include the following refund policy:
