The 10K Incubator is a program specially designed for students and alumni (up to two years after graduation) of HvA who want to realize their innovative ideas. This can involve developing a product or service or improving an existing process. Your idea could have been conceived during your studies or in your free time. It's about ideas that can change the world in a positive way, no matter how small or large.
Who is it for?
As an HvA student or alumni (up to two years after graduation), you can sign up individually or as part of a team (up to 5 people). It's not necessary to already have a company, business model, or market-ready product. If you already have an idea, the 10K Incubator also provides an opportunity to explore whether you want to pursue entrepreneurship with a previously conceived idea. The most important thing is that you have an idea and are passionate about solving a problem and making a difference. The main requirements for participation are a proactive attitude, eagerness to learn, dedication, and commitment.
What will you do?
The 20-week program begins with an intensive week from September 11 to September 15, 2023. During this intensive kickstart, each startup will enter one of the 24 steps of Disciplined Entrepreneurship, depending on the needs of the participating student entrepreneurs, in consultation with a coach. Every two weeks, there will be a workshop or masterclass with external experts. In between the sessions, you will work on assignments with the help of a startup coach, and through collaboration with other teams, you will elevate your idea to the next level. During the 10K Incubator program, you will work towards the moment when you or your team will present your idea in the boardroom of the Dragon's Den. At that point, you will know exactly how you will realize your idea, what you need for it, and how to convince others to contribute.
What will you gain?
After completing 10K, teams often have prospects for funding, plans ready to approach partners, and have built an entrepreneurial network. At the same time, you will develop skills as a young professional. You will learn how to initiate and realize an innovative idea. This knowledge will be useful to you many times in the future, regardless of whether you continue with the idea after 10K or not. Additionally, participation in the 10K Incubator looks great on your CV!
Registration
Download the '10K Application deck' on the 10K registration page, fill it out, and submit it. Afterward, you will be invited for an introductory interview and will be notified if you have been accepted. We look forward to receiving your application!
