Undergraduate Preparatory Programme

Following the publication of the new Quality Framework and Code of Conduct for Preparatory Programmes in the Netherlands, On Campus and Amsterdam School of International Business (AMSIB) are in the process of re-assessing their partnership. We hope to have more information early next year . At this moment it is not certain that a foundation year will take place in September 2023.

You carefully selected your next step in your educational career and you find yourself unsure of your Business English language skills, have a study gap or just need that additional point on your IELTS or TOEFL score? The Amsterdam School of International Business works with Cambridge Education Group’s ONCAMPUS Amsterdam to offer you an on campus experience to help you meet our admission requirements in English language or Business Studies.

Who is this programme designed for?

The Undergraduate Foundation Programme is designed to prepare international students, who have completed senior secondary education, for entry to the bachelor International Business and Management Studies or the bachelor International Business and Languages at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences. Students that need support in order to meet the admission requirements concerning the English language and/or Business Studies. The programme is set at UK NQF level 3, which is equivalent to A-level standard in the UK.

How long will I study for?

The duration of the programme is one academic year (nine months). The year is divided into three terms of seven to nine teaching weeks,one reading week and one exam week You will undertake up to 26 hours of classroom-based study per week.

What will I study?

This programme includes English and three academic subject modules. English will be integrated into the teaching of academic subjects, as well as being taught separately for those who need additional support to develop their English language ability.

Academic skills relevant to the specific subject area will be taught to fully prepare you for university study.

Admission requirements

You will need to meet the minimum academic entry requirements of the bachelor programme you want to progress on to. This usually equals passing your standardised examinations for university entrance of your nation of origin.

English language requirement 5.0 IELTS or equivalent, with no single element below 4.5
