European Conference for Social Work Research - Amsterdam 2022
Enhancing and sustaining social inclusion through social work research
EventFrom April 6-8 2022 the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences will host the eleventh edition of the European Conference for Social Work Research, the largest annual social work research event in Europe. The theme of the conference is research into social work to support and strengthen social inclusion.

In these times, social inclusion is more important than ever. As the International Federation of Social Workers has argued, without social workers, a country cannot progress in terms of social inclusion. Social work research can help to address societal challenges - such as poverty, exclusion and migration - and to promote opportunities – such as well-being, health, livelihood, diversity, human rights and inclusion.
Enhancing and sustaining social inclusion
How can societies be socially inclusive in the context of growing inequality? How can societies be socially inclusive with growing isolation between people? How does accelerated digitization affect the development of social inclusion? How do excluded groups have inclusive access to their rights? How can social work research contribute to more social inclusion? These questions are the subject of this eleventh edition of the ECSWR conference.
