Aviation Academy

Networking event for Aviation Academy

For Alumni, Students (Internship & Thesis students), Lecturers, Company Supervisors & Interested Company relations

Event

This Networking event is an accessible way for Students, Alumni and Professionals to meet each other and inspire each other or help each other further in their career. After all, an Alumnus who has continued his studies can inspire a student to go to college as well. But a Professional can offer an internship or a workplace, to a student or an alumnus. Also we will provide a workshop about applying for jobs in the engineering sector, given by the recruitment and selection agency YER. YER is an international employment agency for permanent and temporary positions, focusing on professionals with a Bachelor's, Master's or PhD degree. Also specifically in the area of technology. An interesting party who wants to guide you in future job applications.

Wings for Aid: WINGS FOR THOSE IN NEED
Wings For Aid, a community powered by experts, has developed a Remotely Piloted Aircraft System that delivers humanitarian goods to people isolated by natural disasters and man-made crises — safely and with pinpoint accuracy.

Starting 2021, our tested system will support emergency organisations worldwide in bridging the notorious “last mile” in humanitarian aid logistics. Operated in multiples, the system is capable of carrying tons of food, blankets, medicines and other life-saving commodities per day in a 250-km radius. Our self-landing cardboard boxes can hold 70 liters of volume or 20 kg weight and does not need a parachute.

  4. Students/Alumnus meet Professional - Marketplace
For students, it is interesting to speak with an Alumnus and learn more about the field and its possibilities. A first step towards building a network, maybe you will meet exactly the right match for an internship this evening.
And maybe you are looking for an intern for next period, but you want to approach this in a different way than the standard application letter procedure. Then this is the opportunity for both of you to meet each other!
Or do you already have an intern from us and want to have a follow up? This is your opportunity.
For an Alumnus it can be an easy way to speak to Professionals to find a job or traineeship.
  5. Networking drinks: where companies, students and alumni come together

Beginning at 5 p.m., we will welcome company supervisors and business relations currently associated with Aviation Academy through the internship and thesis project program. After a welcoming speech by education manager Arjan Stander, you can get in touch with these companies as well as students in an accessible way.

Catch up with your contacts and meet your future (thesis) intern or employee at this event.
