Dr. M. Kragten (Marco)
Marco Kragten is sinds 1 januari 2015 hoofddocent bij het Kenniscentrum Onderwijs en Opvoeding van de Hogeschool van Amsterdam. In september 2015 is hij gepromoveerd op het proefschrift 'Leren met procesdiagrammen in het biologieonderwijs'. Zijn onderzoek richt zich op de didactiek van bètavakken in het voortgezet onderwijs. De belangrijkste focus van zijn werk is hoe studenten (beter) kunnen leren met en van kennisrepresentaties over dynamische systemen. Hiertoe ontwikkelt en evalueert hij vernieuwende didactische benaderingen en lesmaterialen waarbij de leerling en/of docent wordt ondersteund door digitale tools en kunstmatige intelligentie.
Als hoofddocent begeleidt hij studenten in de lerarenopleiding bij het ontwikkelen van hun pedagogisch-didactische vaardigheden en vakinhoudelijke kennis, met name met betrekking tot het schoolvak biologie. Hij is medeoprichter van de Minor Maker Educatie en de Minor Duurzaamheid Educatie. Daarnaast is hij betrokken bij diverse professionaliseringsactiviteiten voor docenten en docentenopleiders.
