The importance of social inclusion in widely acknowledged in the context of early child education and care (ECEC). Fitting in with the ‘three P’s’ from the UN Conventions on the Rights of the Child, inclusive education and care in the early years emphasizes the importance of the provision, protection and participation of young children and their families.
