Students who have a foreign diploma and plan to study at the AUAS in one of our Dutch-taught programmes are required to demonstrate their language proficiency by showing that they have passed all four parts of the NT2 State Examination. Due to the coronavirus, there are no NT2 exams offered at the moment and different rules apply this year. Prospective AUAS students will have until 1 January 2021 to pass their NT2 exam but can also sit an alternative Dutch-language exam.

Alternative tests in the summer

The NT2 State Examinations will start up again in the summer and students can register for new exam appointments then, with the deadline of 1 January to complete it. However, because it’s not ideal to start your studies at the same time as taking the NT2 exam, the AUAS is offering its own alternative exams to prospective students at AUAS. This will enable students to start their Dutch-language studies at AUAS in September with the required language proficiency. AUAS offers reading, writing and listening exams on 28 and 29 January. More information about the dates and times of the speaking test will follow when registration is closed.
