The AUAS has a new strategic plan for 2021-2026. This plan outlines our strategic long-term direction for the years 2021-2026. It centres on five key ambitions.

Ambitions and promises

The AUAS in 3 Dimensions: Sustainable, Inclusive and Digital. This is the title of the Strategic Plan 2021-2026. This plan outlines our strategic long-term direction for the years 2021-2026. It provides focus to the work of everyone involved within the AUAS, from education to research and support roles. The strategic plan builds on, among other things, the mission, vision and societal obligations of the AUAS.

There are five ambitions at the heart of the plan. These are accompanied by promises, directed to various stakeholders. By making these promises, the AUAS commits to achieving its five ambitions:

1. Sustainability, Diversity & Inclusion and Digitalisation (the 3 Ds*) can be found everywhere

2. Increase our impact together with urban partners

3. Enable students to have more control of their own learning pathway

4. Students and staff continue to shape a rich and stimulating learning environment

5. Improve our own flexibility and resilience

Focus 2021

In the coming year, the AUAS will focus on further developing blended learning and on the well-being of employees and students.

* In the English version of the AUAS Strategic Plan we refer to three dimensions: Sustainability, Diversity & Inclusion and Digitalisation. These dimensions may also be referred to informally as the ‘3 Ds’, which corresponds with Dutch terminology (drie D’s; Duurzaamheid, Diversiteit & Inclusie en Digitalisering).
