Valerie Frissen and Ron de Mos reappointed to Supervisory Board

Valerie Frissen and Ron de Mos have been reappointed as members of the Supervisory Board of the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (AUAS). The reappointment is for four years and is effective from 1 September 2021.

The Supervisory Board is delighted that Frissen and De Mos will continue to serve the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences as members of the Supervisory Board. Frissen and De Mos are valued for their knowledge, management experience and constructive critical attitude, as well as their dedication to higher professional education in general and to the AUAS in particular.

Valerie Frissen was nominated as a member of the Supervisory Board by the Central Representative Advisory Council four years ago. She is a Professor by Special Appointment of Digital Technology and Social Change at Leiden University and Director of the SIDN Fund. Her subject matter expertise and network lie in the field of digital innovation. Frissen chairs the Supervisory Board’s Education and Research Committee.

Ron de Mos is an expert in the field of ICT applications with a particular focus on ICT security and privacy issues. He is a member of the Supervisory Board’s Audit Committee. In addition to his subject matter knowledge and expertise, Ron de Mos has a large active network, both nationally and in the Amsterdam region.

The Executive Board and the Central Representative Advisory Council have been consulted and are positive about the reappointment decision.
