Our on-campus open day at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, which was planned for Saturday 11 December, will not go ahead.

Prospective students and others interested in our degree programmes are very welcome to attend our online open evening on Tuesday, 7 December. Due to the current circumstances related to the Covid-19 pandemic, we do not feel comfortable hosting an AUAS-wide gathering on our campuses. The next open day is scheduled for Saturday 12 February 2022.

The Chair of the AUAS Executive Board, Jopie Nooren, says that it was a difficult decision to cancel the open day. ‘We were faced with a dilemma. Choosing what to study is a very important decision in people's lives and one that we, as a university of applied sciences, want to facilitate as much as possible. Experience has shown us that people tend to start their search online. Followed by exploring the atmosphere at universities of applied sciences first-hand. They want to see and to feel what they programmes are really like. Offering this crucial experience is very important to us. At the same time, we also have an important social obligation to safeguard everyone's health. Due to the current situation we have to prioritise the latter.’
