Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences

Course content

During this two week programme you will explore how to identify entrepreneurial opportunities in order to support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDG). You will learn how you can contribute as leader, be inspirational, work on your personal development, develop your ideas and learn how to advice others (depending on the track you choose).

You will be working hard throughout this programme and will be working outside “office hours” as well.

The venue is the Amsterdam Venture Studio’s, the entrepreneurial incubator at the Amsterdam University of Applied Science.

The programmes of both tracks will include:

  1. Interviews with locally and globally operating organisations (mostly startups) that are involved in the Sustainable Development Goals
  2. A visit to the World Press Photo exhibit in Amsterdam exploring its business opportunities.
  3. Various lectures by academics and experts.
  4. Several workshops to help you with your projects
  5. Creating a physical manifestation of your idea or a consultancy report (depending on the track you choose)

Extended 6 EC version

For students who need 6 EC in order to transfer their course back to their home university we offer an opportunity to acquire an additional 2 ECTS with our special extended version. This means you will attend the two-week course and after finishing the course you will return home and work on the extra assignment under online guidance of one of our lecturers. You can hand-in your assignment up to 4 weeks after the course ends.

At the end of this course you will have a comprehensive toolkit for entrepreneurship and impact.
