We train young professionals for a career in ICT. Participate in real-life cases, study new developments, interact with other young people. Enjoy the challenging atmosphere of our university. Our international programme is aimed at 2nd, 3rd and 4th year undergraduate students of our partner Institutions. Computer Sciences & Information Technology is part of the faculty of Digital Media and Creatieve Industries.

Information Technology and Computer Science offers the following exchange programmes.


Autumn: 05-09-2022 - 30-01-2023

Spring : 6-2-2023 until 07-07-2023

* the programming Language Kotlin (OOP) is used. Preparatory self-study is advised

** the programming language Python is used (pandas, sqlalchemy and scikitlearn) Preparatory self-study is advised

***Students need to have advanced skills in Game Design and patterns and practices in Game Engineering.

Next to the compulsory courses and project in your thematic semester you can optionally take one or more of the following courses:

Please Note:

  1. Enrolments are processed on a first-in basis when all the pre-requisites are met. We advise you to enrol in Students Come and Go as soon as possible as some semesters have a limited number of spots.
  2. Students must be there from the very beginning to the very end of the semester
  3. The semester programme has to be taken as a whole as it is a coherent package
  4. Programming skills are required for all semesters
  5. You need to upload your CV and transcript in our enrolment system (below) in order for us to check if your background matches your choice.
  6. AFTER acceptance, we will change your application from pending to enrolled in our system. If you cannot be accepted, you will be informed as well.
  7. Students must be prepared to do team work during the whole semester
  8. Students in the Mobile Development semester will do a project in a company for two days a week. Travel costs might be incurred and have to be paid by the students themselves.
  9. The following electives are offered to exchange students in order to earn 30 ECTS: Survival Dutch (2 ECTS), Intercultural Skills (2 ECTS), English: Communicating like a Pro (2 ECTS)

At our inhouse IT company IRP/WOSI students can do an internship in many IT disciplines.

Information about our university and its facilities for exchange students, visa procedures and practical information about living in Amsterdam can be found on our website.

After you have been accepted as an exchange student, you will be contacted by our international office to start the procedures to arrange all of the above.
