The Faculty of Business and Economics offers a wide range of business related programmes. The Amsterdam School of International Business offers three full-time, one fast-track and a part-time English taught programmes.

Located in the southeast of Amsterdam, the Faculty of Business and Economics offers a wide range of business-related programmes. As a knowledge institution, education and applied research go hand in hand in order to prepare students for their desired professional career.


The Faculty of Business and Economics is one of the largest institutions of professional business education in the Netherlands. Within the Amsterdam School of International Business (AMSIB), the school offers different degrees in international business: a four-year programme, an accelerated three-year programme as well as a part-time variant for working professionals and a Master's degree in Global Sustainable Business Management. Today, over 2,500 students from more than 70 countries are part of the AMSIB community. The multicultural character of our school prepares students to not only thrive but excel in international workplaces.


Dedicated and experienced lecturers are committed to your educational journey from student to working professional. You are encouraged to explore your own interests in an international academic setting that is similar to that of American universities and English business schools. Lecturers help you draw connections between theoretical knowledge, practical applications in the field and applied research. Interdisciplinarity plays a key role in our education, as contemporary challenges often transcend subject areas.


The Faculty of Business and Economics prides itself on its close ties to businesses throughout the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area and beyond. we aim to embed collaboration with the professional field in our offered programmes. This ensures that our education is cutting-edge and practice-based. As a result, we can develop solutions for tomorrow’s challenges and give back to the dynamic city of Amsterdam.


Our research activities are primarily led by professors. The insights from this research are always connected to and linked back to our study programmes. In doing so, we create an inspiring academic environment for both students and staff and actively encourage talent and professional development.
