'Responsible AI' | Food for Thought inspiration session

Find out how AI influences your daily life (this event will be in English | find the meeting link below)

Event

* THIS EVENT IS POSTPONED UNTIL AUTUMN 2021 * Artificial Intelligence -AI- is present in many places in our society and the influence of AI on our lifes and society will only increase in the future. AI is used to decide the financial risks of prospective clients, AI is used to identify possible fraudulent behaviour of citizens and AI is used to select potential candidates for job vacancies in organisations.

The idea that we should demand a more responsible use of AI is becoming generally accepted, but the means to do so are not (yet) easily accessible. What does it mean for an AI system to be responsible? What is responsible use of data? And how can organisations implement AI in a responsible manner?

The AUAS has several initiatives such as the Responsible AI Lab, the Learning Community Responsible Software Development and the research group Responsible IT that all strive to make responsible AI broadly accessible. With programmes to assist organisations, government and future professionals in learning about and dealing with Responsible AI, they provide clear guidelines and tools to enable a more responsible use of AI. Through the same initiatives the AUAS is also active in applied research on the theme of Responsible AI.

Pascal Wiggers and Frank Aldershoff will talk about the need for responsible AI and will present several case-studies where the AUSAS has assisted organisations with a more responsible use of AI.

The name of the guest speaker will be announced. This speaker can relate to 'Responsible AI' from the perspective of an organization that wants to deploy AI.

* IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THE THEME 'RESPONSIBLE AI' THEN YOU CAN ATTEND THE EVENT 'RESPONSIBLE AI IN PRACTICE' ORGANISED BY THE 'CENTER OF EXPERTISE APPLIED AI' ON JUNE 8. AT 4 PM. PLEASE REGISTER IN ADVANCE VIA THE PARTICIPATION FORM! *
