Join us for this inspiring lunch meeting of the Centre for Applied Research FDMCI and CoECI for researchers, teachers and students. You will be updated on current research, new insights and lessons learned.
EventBe surprised this April by a contribution on sustainability in relation materials, design and collaboration from the research group Fashion Research & Technology. This meeting will take place on Tuesday, April 18 from 12:00 to 13:00 at AMFI. We will start on the second floor of the Koetsier-Montaigne House (KMH 2.18 & 2.20) with the inspiration session including lunch. Following the presentation there will be a tour in the Biomaterials Studio (KMH 1.34), your chance to get acquainted with biodesign!

Sam Edens, affiliated with the Fashion Research & Technology Professorship (Centre for Applied Research FDMCI) and also working for the Faculty of Engineering, takes us literally and figuratively into the world of biomaterials in this Food for Thought Inspiration session.
To conclude her contribution, Sam will provide all attendees with a tour in the Biomaterials Studio on the first floor of the Koetsier-Montaigne House (AMFI). Register now to be assured of a spot on April 18!

About the speaker
Sam Edens is coordinator of the Biomaterials Studio, the community lab of the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences where students, lecturers, and researchers can work with biobased and living materials and experiment with biodesign techniques.
She also coordinates the faculty-wide minor Makers Lab: Making as Research and the new minor Sustainable Futures: Nature + Design + Creativity.
