Now possible with a few clicks

From now on, lecturers can easily use Brightspace to draw their students’ attention to databases, articles and books that are recommended or compulsory for a particular course.

The Library has recently established a link between the Brightspace digital learning environment and the library catalogue CataloguePlus. As a result, lecturers no longer have to manually copy and paste information from one system to another. CataloguePlus and the database selector now feature in the content editor of Brightspace in the insert stuff list, which also includes YouTube.

The link between Brightspace and the library systems gives lecturers easy access to millions of books and articles, and more than 100 databases. As a secondary benefit, lecturers don’t have to worry about potential copyright on any literature that they include in their courses with this system. The literature is displayed in Brightspace through links and with clear acknowledgement of the source. And courses always contain up-to-date information, because in the event of updates, the references in Brightspace are updated.
