Employer's statement

An employer's statement ( werkgeversverklaring) is a statement issued by your employer providing information on the nature of your appointment and your salary. This statement is important if you want to take out a mortgage.

You can apply for an employer's statement via DSPE. Go to Self-service > Employer's statement. You can also ask a question to the AC’s Service Desk here.

APPLICATION FOR AN EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT FOR AN INDEFINITE PERIOD

The Service Desk fills in the employer's statement, but cannot issue a statement about future employment. The completed employer's statement will be sent to your home address within two days of your request. You will receive a scan of the statement by email.

APPLICATION FOR A TEMPORARY EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT

In the case of a temporary employment contract with a pending agreement for continued employment, an authorised employee of your unit must complete the employer's statement. In cases of temporary employment, 'no' will be filled in next to the 'Statement continuation of contract' section ( Verklaring voortzetting dienstverband).

Statement of intent for a temporary employment contract

The statement of intent is part of the employer's statement that must be completed in the case of temporary employment. Only an authorised employee of your unit can sign the statement of intent. Please note: the mortgage lender only accepts employer's statements for a mortgage application that have been completed by one and the same person. Therefore, have the statement completed in its entirety by the Service Desk AC.

THE CALCULATION OF THE GROSS ANNUAL SALARY

The employer's statement for a mortgage states, among other things, your gross annual salary. The gross salary is calculated on the basis of the latest available salary statement. For the calculation, the gross monthly salary, any gross allowances, 8% holiday allowance and 8.3% year-end allowance are taken into account.

MORTGAGE LENDER'S OWN FORM

There are mortgage lenders who have their own form which the employer has to fill in. You can mail this form to the Service Desk AC to have it filled out. However, the Service Desk AC prefers to work with its own statements.

SUPPLEMENTARY PROVISIONS OF THE AUAS

The AUAS has made a number of additional provisions that are sometimes also important for the mortgage lender. If you receive a 'supplementary provisions form' from your mortgage lender, the AC Service Desk will complete it for you.
