How to connect
In order to connect to the AUAS secured wireless network, you must activate the correct settings on your laptop, tablet or smartphone.
Follow these instructions to connect
- Connect to the wireless network 'HvA Open Wi-Fi' via your network settings.
- A new window opens. If not, open your browser. Enter 'Connect'. You hereby accept the terms.
- Open your Internet browser and go to http://wifiportal.hva.nl. This page automatically checks which operating system you use (e.g. Windows, Mac OS or Android).
- * Make sure that the correct operating system is checked and click on ‘JoinNow’.
- * Enter your AUAS ID@hva.nl (NB: this is not your email address) and your password. The correct settings will now begin to download.
Once you have completed these steps, you will be automatically connected to 'eduroam' or 'hva'. If you are not connected automatically, then connect to the network manually.
* It is possible that steps 4 and 5 are reversed depending on the type of device you are using.
Instructions for Android
- Connect to the wireless network 'HvA Open Wi-Fi' via your network settings.
- A new window opens. If not, open your browser. Enter 'Connect'. You hereby accept the terms.
- Open your Internet browser and go to http://wifiportal.hva.nl. This page automatically checks which operating system you use (e.g. Windows, Mac OS or Android).
- Click on ‘Download’ (behind Google Play). Click on 'Install' and accept, if necessary, the terms.
- Go back to the page http://wifiportal.hva.nl.
- Click on ‘JoinNow’. The correct settings will now begin to download. Click on ‘Continue’.
- Enter your AUAS ID@hva.nl (NB: this is not your email address) and your password. Click on ‘Continue’.
- You will be automatically connected to 'eduroam' or 'hva'. If you are not connected automatically, then connect to the network manually.
