Study check

The study check gives you insight into any questions or doubts you may have about your choice of degree programme and the process you have gone through. It will also help you confirm your choice and start your degree programme well prepared. Alle students who applied for the first year of a non-selective full-time bachelor programme at AUAS will be invited for the study check.

What is the study check?

The study check involves completing an online questionnaire about your choice of degree programme. By answering a limited number of questions, you will look back on the steps you took to arrive at this choice. You will receive a summary based on the answers you give of the process you went through to choose a degree programme, and advice on what else you can do to prepare for starting your degree programme.

Different admission procedures apply for full-time programmes with a limited number of places and Master's programmes. For more information on study check for part-time programmes, please refer to the description of the part-time programme that you're interested in.

Your study check invitation

The study check is part of your enrolment. After your request for enrolment, you will receive an invitation to complete the questionnaire from the AUAS degree programme for which you have submitted an enrolment request in Studielink from mid-January (not sooner).

Please note that emails from the AUAS may end up in your spam folder. Make sure to check your spam folder regularly. It's also advisable to add the AUAS to your list of safe senders.

Enrolled in multiple programmes?

If you enrol in more than one programme at the AUAS, you are invited to take part in a separate study check for each programme. This means each programme will send you a separate invitation. We strongly advise you to complete the questionnaire for each programme separately.

Studying with a disability

If you have a disability that prevents you from participating in the current study check procedure, you can send an email to the student counsellors office via functiebeperking@hva.nl. It is important to include the programme name that you want to do the study check for, and to note the adjustments that you require in order to participate in the study check. The student counsellor of the programme will then advise the programme on your situation.

Doubts about your choice?

The study check gives you insight into any questions or doubts you may have about your choice of degree programme and the process you have gone through. The online questionnaire is accompanied by an information chart, with topics grouped to indicate how they affect your choice of degree programme. The information chart shows ways of resolving uncertainties and answering any questions you may have. It will also help you confirm your choice and start your degree programme well prepared.
