J. Eekhart (Jill)

As programme manager, Jill Eekhart is responsible for the development and organisation of the Sports Leadership Programme (SLP). Within the SLP, she focuses on the learning objectives, teaching methods and content of the modules. She thinks about the best ways in which speakers, assignments and activities contribute to the programme objectives. She also coaches participants in their personal development. For the past few years Jill has coached students of the programme Sportkunde - leerroute SM&O and she now teaches the AUAS-minor Sport Policy.

Jill holds a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and a Master's degree in International European Rights, both from the University of Groningen. After a career in consultancy and digital marketing, Jill changed course. She followed her passion and chose the world of sports. She travelled through South America where she volunteered to give sports lessons in Bolivia for the development organisation Accion por una Educación Activa.

In 2020 Jill started her own company 'Eekhart voor Sport' with clients such as NOC*NSF. In addition, she has been president of the Amsterdam football club csv DVVA since 2017. As one of the few female sports administrators, she strives for more diversity in sports organisations.
