I chose Amsterdam as my exchange destination, because it is a very diverse, cosmopolitan city where a lot of different nationalities live and work together. After living here for a month, it's hard to imagine how studying abroad in any other city could be a better experience.

What I like most here is that events are constantly being held around the city, as well as a whole assortment of museums, galleries, and activities to keep me entertained. On top of that, the locals here are very open-minded, accepting and liberal. This makes me feel that I can effortlessly blend into Amsterdam’s melting pot and gives me the chance to meet a whole range of people from very diverse backgrounds.

What I really like about the AUAS is that internationalisation is integrally embedded in everyday life. The university offers various educational projects for curriculum development and research projects within an international working field. The best part of it is that the lessons professors provide are not only international but also practical and always linked to current matters or actual companies. Because of that, I already feel like I am actually learning lessons I can apply in my professional future.
