Henk Hille has been teaching at the bachelor programme Sportkunde - track Sport, Management en Ondernemen (SM&O) at the AUAS since 2005. The first years he worked part-time next to his job as director of the Ice Hockey Association of the Netherlands. In the years that he worked in ice hockey, Henk was a member of several working groups and committees of the national sports umbrella organisation NOC*NSF and the international ice hockey federation IIHF.

Since 2007, Henk has been a full-time lecturer at the AUAS. In 2009 he became a researcher within the now defunct lectorate Sport Business Development. In 2013 Henk also started teaching at Sport Studies - track International Sport, Management and Busines (ISMB).

Henk is a former elite top ice hockey player. He played as a professional in the Netherlands and Sweden. The highlight of his sports career was his participation in the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid. Henk graduated in 1985 from the Academie van Lichamelijke Opvoeding (ALO), now part of the AUAS. In 1993 he graduated cum laude with a master's degree in Sociology from the University of Amsterdam.
