Enrolment and selection

Sport Studies - track ISMB

Sport Studies - track ISMB has a limited number of study places (quota). The programme offers in total 310 study places: 80 for Sport Studies – track ISMB and 230 for the Dutch track Sportkunde – leerroute SM&O. There are more prospective students than study places. That's why the programme has a selection procedure.

Unfortunately, it’s no longer possible to enrol for the 2020-2021 academic year. The application deadline was 15 January 2020. Are you still interested in this degree programme? Enrolment for the 2021-2022 academic year opens on 1 October 2020.

Did you participate in the selection? On 15 April 2020, you received your selection results directly from the AUAS and your ranking number through Studielink.

The ranking number is based on your results in the selection. If your ranking number falls within the maximum number of places you will also receive a placement certificate (i.e. you were offered a place in our programme) through Studielink on 15 April. You must accept your placement certificate through Studielink within two weeks.

Please note: have you been accepted to Sport Studies - track ISMB but would you rather start in September 2021 instead of September 2020? In that case you have to take part in the selection again next year.

Medical test

If you accept your placement certificate, you will receive an invite for the medical test. This invite will be send in the last week of May.

Please note that mails from the AUAS could end up in your spam box. Make sure to check your spam box regularly.

Together Sport Studies - track ISMB and Sportkunde - leerroute SM&O (including the fast-track programme for MBO students) have capacity for 310 students in the 2020-2021 academic year.

575 candidates took part in the selection procedure and were assigned a ranking number between 1 and 575 on 15 April. Candidates with number 1 - 310 were immediately offered a place, which they will have to accept within two weeks.

If you have been allocated a number higher than 310, you obviously want to find out if there is a chance that you will be offered a place, and if so, when. If your number is slightly higher than 310, this could happen relatively soon after 15 April. If you have been allocated a higher number, you will have to wait a little longer or you might not be offered a place at all.

From 16 April, we will publish the ranking numbers that have been processed each week. This will allow you to estimate the chances of your number coming up between 16 April and 15 August (when AUAS will offer places for the final time). You should therefore check this page regularly, even in summer, but particularly just after the publication of the final high school examination results. This is when applicants who have already accepted the offer but failed their exams will have to give up their place.

Please note that from mid April, the data below will be updated at least once a week.
