Enrolment and selection

Sport Studies - track ISMB

Sport Studies - track International Sports, Management and Business (ISMB) has a limited number of study places (quota). The programme offers in total 310 study places: 80 for Sport Studies – track ISMB and 230 for the Dutch track Sportkunde – leerroute SM&O. There are more prospective students than study places. That's why the programme has a selection procedure.

Unfortunately, it’s no longer possible to enrol for the 2020-2021 academic year. The application deadline was 15 January 2020. Are you still interested in this degree programme? Enrolment for the 2021-2022 academic year opens on 1 October 2020.

Selection days 2020

  • Friday 31 January 8:00 - 13:00 hrs
  • Saturday 8 February  8.00 – 13.00 hrs

After your enrolment in Studielink you will receive an e-mail from the AUAS with an online questionnaire and a link to sign up for the selection day. Make sure that you complete the questionnaire and select a date for the selection day as soon as possible after receiving this message. If you wait too long, your preferred date could be full.

If you live abroad you can do the selection day remotely. Make sure you sign up for the remote selection day after you complete your application and filled out the online questionnaire. The programme will contact you about the steps that need to be taken.

Previous results from the selection day are not valid for the next academic year. Were you placed directly last year and did you not use your place? Then you have to participate in the selection day again this year.

Please note: email from the AUAS could end up in your SPAM box. Check this on a regular base.

The selection day of Sport Studies – track ISMB consists of:

  • a physical sport test (shuttle run);
  • an interview;
  • a written theory exam which tests your English, mathematics level, analytical skills and your knowledge regarding the world of international sport management.

After you signed up for the selection day, you will receive an email from the AUAS with information about the selection day programme, a link to the online material for the written theory exam.

For the selection day you need to bring sportswear and indoor shoes.

Each prospective student who participates in the selection will receive a ranking number through Studielink on 15 April 2020. The ranking number is based on your results in the selection. If your ranking number falls within the maximum number of places in 310 (85 for Sport Studies – track ISMB, 225 for the Dutch track Sportkunde – leerroute SM&O), you will also receive a placement certificate through Studielink on 15 April. You must accept your placement through Studielink within two weeks.

If you are not selected, you can still be admitted to the programme after 30 April. The AUAS will admit candidates from the waiting list until 15 August 2020 at the latest.
