Event

Social entrepreneurship (SE) plays an important role in tackling the grand challenges of our time, ranging from ecological issues like climate change to social ones such as inequality. How can research help the SE ecosystem to develop and flourish? And what kind of education can inspire people to take up these challenges through SE? These are the key questions of this conference.

The Social Enterprise World Forum (SEWF) annually brings together the SE ecosystem from around the globe; this year in Amsterdam. On October 11 & 12 social entrepreneurs, policymakers, investors, academics and other impact-led professionals come together to strengthen impact entrepreneurship and encourage systemic change. The SEWF 2023 main theme is ‘Collective Action. Sustainable Change’.

The Research and Education Conference - a fringe day event on October 10th - follows the main theme and focuses on the key questions:

  • How can research help the SE ecosystem to develop and flourish?
  • What types and kinds of education can inspire (young) people to take up these challenges through SE?

SE educators, researchers and practitioners are invited to submit proposals for sessions at this event.
