The collective intelligence of citizens

U!REKA Urban Commons lecture #3

‘Urban Commons’- what’s behind the buzzword? From local car-sharing to community gardens, neighbourhood assistance programmes and local currencies – civic initiatives, based on the principle of common ownership, are on the rise. So too are questions about this new form of governance: How are they organised? What’s the impact of urban commons on areas ranging from social life and culture, to mobility, elderly care, climate change and housing? How does this kind of cooperation foster the Sustainable Development Goals?

Join the U!R Commons lecture series to dive into this hot topic during interactive online lectures, hosted by the Urban Research and Education Knowledge Alliance (U!REKA).
