Open Peer Review and the Publish-Review-Curate model

Event

Welcome to Thursday 14th April Open Science Coffee. Jonathan Heppner will discuss how the "Publish Review Curate" model can accelerate scientific publication turnover times and foster better collaboration at the forefront of scientific inquiry. When coupled with open peer review, this model can enhance the transparency and integrity of the entire publication process while also acknowledging the reviewers for their work.

Jonathan Heppner holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Groningen and a Master's degree in Philosophy from the University of Leiden, where he specialized in the Philosophy of Science to address the replication crisis in Psychology. This pursuit ultimately led him to seek improvements in the scientific publication process.

After Jonathan’s presentation we will hold a discussion on Open Peer Review. Everyone is welcome to this discussion, from early stage researchers to more experienced academics and research supportive staff. Teachers and students are also very welcome. This is an informal and inclusive event, so feel welcome to participate.
