Workshops offer

Want to become better at recognising fake news, finding open data for your teaching work or carrying out desk research? These are just some of the topics covered by the workshops that the library offers students, lecturers and researchers. The general workshops on this page are offered on a regular basis; see the workshop calendar. These workshops can also be scheduled specifically for groups of students or lecturers/researchers and tailored where necessary.

General workshops

General workshops are offered on a regular basis and are listed in the workshop calendar. You will need to sign up for each workshop. You will receive a link to the workshop several days in advance (in the case of online workshops).

Custom workshops

General workshops can also be scheduled specifically for groups of students or lecturers/researchers and tailored as needed. Subjects, place and time will be decided in proper consultation between the lecturer and the University Library. Interested? Send an email to: trainingenbib@hva.nl.

Online courses

Would you like to use online courses and videos to help your students develop greater information literacy? Now you can! For more information, visit the Searchlight Course and Smart Video Search pages.

Workshops as curricular components

Could your students' research capabilities use a boost? Library information specialists offer group training sessions tailored to the needs of your degree programme and students. Subjects, level, place and time are decided in proper consultation between the lecturer and the University Library. Agreements can also be made on a training series over the course of the study period (learning trajectory) and on the use of online teaching materials via Brightspace. Do you want to discuss the possibilities further? Email or call the information specialist for your field of study.
