AUAS Summer School 2022 on location

The Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences' annual Summer School plans to go ahead in person this summer, from 4-15 July 2022, after a two-year absence due to the coronavirus. Registration is open now.

Our academically challenging summer courses, taught by AUAS's finest lecturers, will offer Summer School participants the summer of a lifetime. With the city of Amsterdam as their personal laboratory, students will gain new knowledge and skills through a hands-on, engaging experience..

Registration open

The AUAS’ Summer School courses are now open for registration. Students can apply for a course, with guaranteed housing, until 22 May 2022. Registration without housing is open until 1 June 2022. All of our courses will be taught by our finest lectures and will challenge students both academically as well as on a more practical level. Confirmed courses are now open for registration, and in due time more courses will be added to our website.

A Summer School with 3 dimensions

All courses of the 2022 Summer School are imbued with the three dimensions of the AUAS: Sustainability, Digitalisation and Diversity. What does that mean? Watch the video to find out:

AUAS in 3D video: The AUAS engages with organisations and companies on the major social issues of today and tomorrow: sustainability, digitalisation and diversity. New knowledge on these topics is developed in close collaboration with partners.

Summer courses 2022

AUAS is currently finalising the AUAS Summer School 2022 programme. Nine academically challenging courses have already been confirmed and are now open for registration: Applied Quantum Computing; Researching the city; European Business skills; Learning Python through coding music; Supply Chain Management; Tour of understanding; Transformation Design Experience; Virtual Fashion Design: the new real; and Virtual Reality. All courses will start on 4 July 2022.

Student housing available

Students are free to stay with friends, find a hostel, or other accommodation. But they can also have the AUAS arrange a place to stay*. We offer a private room with shared kitchen and bathroom facilities. Costs are €407 for a two-week stay. To claim a spot in an AUAS student housing facility, students must register before 22 May.

* Please note that housing is optional and not available for every course. To check whether housing can be arranged by AUAS, please refer to the practical information on the course page.

COVID-19 information

Despite the global COVID-19 outbreak, we still expect that the Summer School of 2022 can take place on campus in Amsterdam. However, we live in a time of uncertainty and national and international policy updates and regulations may affect the Summer School. We continue to closely monitor developments related to the coronavirus in the Netherlands and globally and will keep you updated.
