Earthquake-related support available

9 Feb 2023 13:12 | Communication

The AUAS would like to express its support to anyone who has family or friends in Turkey or Syria during this difficult time. We realise that this event has a major impact on many people. We sympathise intensely with everyone affected by the earthquake. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out. We are here for you.

Students

If you need support or just a listening ear, please contact Student Info. You can pop by one of the Student Info help desks in the AUAS buildings. Send us a chat (http://bit.ly/3PvAAZl), email (studentinfo@hva.nl) or call us (020 - 595 14 05). Student Info can also refer you to a student counsellor or student psychologist.

Employees

Employees in need of support can contact our social worker Henk Weber, who works at the Occupational Health and Safety Service. You can reach him via email (h.weber@humancapitalcare.NL) or directly by phone on 06- 11 51 15 79.

Students and employees have also set up various initiatives. For example, Students that Matter (our platform for refugee students, information in Dutch) is collecting warm clothes and blankets today (9 February in the Wibaut building, 7th floor). If you want to know more about this, send an email to studentsthatmatter@hva.nl. Activities are also underway at our faculties.

You can also donate to the national ‘giro’ account 555.
