92 per cent of Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (AUAS) graduates found a job within three months of graduation according to the HBO Monitor 2022, an independent nationwide survey on the job prospects of university of applied sciences graduates. The percentage of graduates who found a job immediately after graduation rose to 85.6 per cent, from 78.5 per cent in 2021.

The speed at which graduates found a suitable job demonstrates the quality of AUAS's education and how well its contents matches the standards required by industry. 83% of AUAS graduates who completed the HBO Monitor 2022 said that their job level matched their degree programme level.

Another indication of the quality of education is the respondents’ satisfaction with their degree programmes, and the AUAS also scores well in this respect. 63% of graduates are satisfied or very satisfied with their degree programme in general, and 58% said that the programme provides a good foundation for starting in the labour market. 69% would choose the same AUAS degree programme again.

NATIONAL SURVEY

The HBO Monitor is an annual survey of graduates of universities of applied sciences in the Netherlands. The survey provides insight into the labour market position of graduates, shows how well degree programmes prepare their students for the labour market and the extent to which graduates value their degree programmes. The research was conducted by Maastricht University's Research Centre for Education and the Labour Market (ROA) and DESAN Research Solutions.

CORONA MEASURES

The results of HBO Monitor 2022 reflect the labour market situation in autumn 2022 of graduates of the 2020 2021 academic year. The vast majority of these alums graduated in the summer of 2021, so their entry into the labour market took place when various Corona measures were still in place. 33% of the AUAS graduates who were contacted completed the questionnaire.
