"Giving street intimidation a human face"

Bachelor in Communication - Gabriëlle Claushuis, Student

Gabrielle is best described as a creative all-rounder. “I’ve done a lot of different things to express my creativity, but I’ve always wanted to include social critique, incorporating the real world into my creations.”

The best-known example of this is her own start-up around the app Mygappie, which she worked on during her specialisation in Concept & Creation. “The app helps you feel safer on the street if you feel some sort of intimidation.” It holds a list of contacts, who are all called at the same time if you feel in danger.

But Gabrielle, who can call herself the VIVA400 Visionista of 2018, is thinking even bigger. “I want to set up a whole community - to give a human face to the issue of street intimidation.”
