Hello everybody, my name is Jonas and I come from Denmark. I find Amsterdam the ideal destination for an exchange program. Amsterdam has a lot to offer and so far it hasn’t disappointed me in any way. The city has a certain charm and vibe that is hard to come by anywhere else. From its beautiful canals to its architecture, large markets and insane bike rules you will experience something new every day. Moreover, Amsterdam is well connected to other major cities within Europe so it gives the opportunity to explore different countries in the weekends. My studies at HvA differ from back home but it challenges me to think differently and to be more creative. The atmosphere is easy-going and warm and the interacting between professor and student is friendly but respectful.

I have previously been on two exchange programs and I genuinely believe that going abroad teaches you something that cannot be taught in a classroom. It gives a greater understanding on different cultures and learning methods. An exchange program will be scary at first, but it will in the end be the best decision and change how you perceive the world.
