I chose to study in Amsterdam because I just love the city. There is always something to do, which is different from the city in Paraguay where I come from. I was born in Amsterdam, but consider myself more Paraguayan as I lived there for about 14 years

Amsterdam is really student-friendly. There is a lot going on and you have many activities to choose from. Amsterdam itself is beautiful and it never seizes to amaze me, there is so much diversity. I also love the fact that there are people from all over the world working or studying here, that really helps when you get a little homesick.

I had some difficulties with finding housing, I moved three times last year and that was pretty stressful. Most of the accommodation that I found was only temporary. Eventually I found a place for a reasonable price through Facebook groups.

I had to get used to the weather in the Netherlands since it is very different from Paraguay. In Paraguay it is always warm and sunny.
