Scholarships and grants at AMSIB

AMSIB welcomes international students at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences to apply for scholarships and grants.

The Dutch government offers so-called 'studiefinanciering' (student grants). To find out if you are entitled to 'studiefinanciering' please visit the website of DUO to find out more.

At the Study in NL website you can find a search engine for scholarships and you will also find an overview of scholarships available when studying in the Netherlands.

The deadline for application for the academic year 2024/2025 is 1 May 2024.

The scholarship is meant for international students from outside the European Economic Area (EEA) who want to do an English taught bachelor’s or master’s in the Netherlands. The EEA consists of the EU countries and Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway.

The NL Scholarship is financed by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science and selected Dutch research universities and universities of applied sciences.

Scholarship amount

The scholarship amounts to €5,000. You will receive this in the first year of your studies. Please note that you can only apply for a NL Scholarship if you applied for an AMSIB study programme before 1 May 2024.

Application for NL Scholarship

Please make sure you already have applied for the programme and have your student number at hand. If you have met the initial requirements you will be asked to complete an online assessment to finalise your application for the NL Scholarship at AMSIB.
