Amsterdam School of International Business: application process
Please apply for academic year 2023-2024 before 1 May 2023.
As of 1 October 2022 application period opens for the 2023-2024 study year. In order to start the admissions process you must apply in studielink before 1 May 2023.
Please note: all applicants residing in the Netherlands applying to an AMSIB programme will be required to complete the study check.

Our application procedure is as follows.
- Sign up in Studielink before 1 May 2023. If you live in the Netherlands, you can log in on the Studielink website using your DigiD. If you do not have a DigiD, you can request one via the DigiD-site. The process of applying for and receiving a DigiD takes approximately five working days. If you do not live in the Netherlands, you can request a user name and password from Studielink.
- Submit documentation: Applicants will receive an invitation via email from the Central Student Administration (CSA) to submit all relevant documents showing their secondary school credentials before a certain deadline. Read more about our credentials evaluation.
- All applicants residing in the Netherlands will have to participate in the mandatory Study Check.
- For students who require a visa to study in the Netherlands, please take a look at the Pathfinder tool to learn more about your specific requirements.
- Finalising your enrolment:
- International students: once your creditials have been approved, your immigration process complete (when relevant), you will be invited to finalise your enrolment.
- Domestic students: once your credentials have been approved and you have sucessfully completed the study check, you will be invited to finalise your enrolment.
Make sure to enrol for the 2020-2021 academic year by 1 May 2020 at the latest. To do so, follow the step-by-step plan.

How do I sign up for the study check?
Check your application deadline and apply via Studielink
Within 48 hours you will receive an email confirmation of your application. In the confirmation email you will find information about the sign up procedure.
Spam folder
If you have submitted an enrolment application via Studielink but do not see an invitation in your inbox, make sure to check your spam folder. Sometimes emails from AUAS will end up there.
What does the study check for the International Business degree programme consist of?
- Mandatory homework (an online assessment to be completed at home)
- On-campus session with mandatory attendance
Contents of the online assessment
The online assessment will introduce you to the most important subjects within the International Business degree programme. This will help you to ascertain whether this is the best degree programme for you. The online assessment includes video clips, tests and a questionnaire coaching about student counselling.
You will receive the link to the online assessment prior the on-campus session. You will receive information about the deadline as well.
If you do not complete the online assessment before the deadline, you cannot attend the mandatory on-campus session and cannot start the programme in September. Keep in mind that the online assessment takes about 4 hours to complete.
On-campus session with mandatory attendance
If you have completed the online assessment before the deadline, you are welcome during the on-campus session. During the session you will get to meet faculty and fellow students. Items that will be covered will include:
1. Getting to know each other
2. Q&A session on practical matters and student coaching
3. Group work on the homework assignment
4. Evaluation

The on-campus sessions for 2020 are listed below. The times that are mentioned include a 30 minutes welcome reception before the kick-off of the programme:

- Tuesday 9 June 2020, 14.00 - 17.00 hrs at Fraijlemaborg
- Tuesday 7 July 2020, 10.00 - 13.00 hrs at Wibaut building
- Tuesday 7 July 2020, 14.00 - 17.00 hrs at Wibaut building
