The Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (AUAS) is financially healthy and meets all of the requirements concerning sound financial management. It finished the year 2021 with an overall financial result of € 8.5 million.

Income

The primary source of income for the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (AUAS) is the Government Grant (rijksbijdrage), money which the government allocates to educational institutions for the purposes of providing education and conducting research.

In 2021, the Government Grant amounted to € 368.2 million. The AUAS received € 76 million in tuition, course and examination fees. Including a few other sources of income, the total AUAS income in 2021 amounted to € 477.2 million. AUAS's expenditure in 2021 was € 462.5 million.
