Centre for Applied Research of the Faculty on Digital Media & Creative Industries

Digital Life Lab

The Digital Life Centre is a research lab that develops innovative digital solutions that enhance the wellbeing of citizens living in an urban environment. Applied research is undertaken to investigate technology, data and design methods. The focus is on sensors and digital information for health and participation. With Living Labs, innovative applications are quickly brought to prototype stage so they can be effectively tested in its user environment – involving real infrastructures and real residents. The research is undertaken by a multidisciplinary team of researchers, teachers and students under the guidance of lecturer Ben Kröse, and in close cooperation with industry partners.

The Digital Life Centre integrates education, research and the circulation of knowledge.

Info.nl has recently partnered with the Digital Life Centre for a three-year period.
