Housing for international students

Studying in Amsterdam is an unforgettable experience. A good place to live will make your time abroad even more memorable.

Finding housing

Amsterdam is an amazing city to live in but its housing situation is limited. You can choose to either live in student housing or find your own place to live. While we can assist your search, housing cannot be guaranteed. We recommend you begin your housing search early, coming to Amsterdam before your studies start to organise housing if required.

Applying for housing as a Bachelor's or Master's student

Once you have registered for an AUAS degree programme, and you are eligible for housing, you will automatically receive an email inviting you to apply online for student housing.

Applying for housing as an exchange student

If you are coming to Amsterdam as an exchange student in the fall, you will automatically receive an email inviting you to apply online for student housing. This will arrive once your application for an AUAS exchange programme has been approved.
