Dr. Somaya Ben Allouch leads the Digital Life research group, part of the Centre for Applied Research of Digital Media & Creative Industries (FDMCI). Within Digital Life, she conducts practice-based research on the design, use, and evaluation of digital technology in the application domain of health and wellbeing from a human-centred perspective.

Dr. Janette Bessembinder works as a professor of Climate Literacy at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences. She also works at the 
The Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute (KNMI), tailoring climate data and information for users from a wide range of sectors.

Dr. Ingrid Boelhouwer is a lecturer and senior researcher in the Applied Psychology programme. She holds degrees in Pedagogy (MSc), Work and Organizational Psychology (MSc), Clinical Neuropsychology (MSc), and Health Sciences (MSc). In 2022, she earned her PhD for research on the potential long-term effects of cancer treatments on work functioning and the role of workplace resources in this context. Her focus is on understanding and addressing mental challenges – both psychological and cognitive – in the context of work and education. Key themes include the transition from study to work, ageism, and equal opportunities.

Ingrid Boelhouwer

Prof. Dr. Leonieke Boendermaker (1961) is a professor in Child and Youth Social Care at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (HvA) and professor by special appointment of Implementation Challenges in Youth Care at the University of Amsterdam (UvA). Her work focuses on the development, implementation, quality and effectiveness of interventions, with a special focus on residential care and interventions for young people with serious behavioural problems.

Daniël Bossen is associate professor eHealth & Movement Behaviour. He conducts practical research on underlying interactions between exercise, behavioural influence and technology. He is also a senior lecturer in the Interprofessional Paramedical Care (IPZ) track. He has a background in physiotherapy and health sciences.

Daniël Bossen

Anna's work focuses on gaining a better understanding of poverty and debt issues in all their various forms. Together with her research group, Anna investigates which types of interventions in the field of poverty are effective and which are not, and for which citizens. In addition to being a lecturer, Anna is also programme leader for Poverty and Livelihood Security at the Centre of Expertise Urban Education.

Dick van Damme has been Professor of Mainport Logistics at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences since 2003. He focuses on sustainable and efficient regional logistics in the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area.

Her research interests focus on understanding the dynamics of multi-stakeholder collaboration and inter-organizational relations, including their formation, governance, and internationalization, in the context of innovation and sustainability.

Simone de Droog is Associate Professor of Child Technology at the Digital Life research group. Her work focuses on how technologies — such as social robots and digital characters — can positively and sustainably support children's development and wellbeing.
