Arrival Days

Unfortunately, our events for 14 and 17 August 2020 are cancelled. We are looking into the possibility of offering several services online to ensure a soft landing in Amsterdam. We will provide more information as soon as the current situation allows us to. Questions?

We can imagine you have questions or concerns about the coronavirus outbreak. You can visit for relevant information and an overview of frequently asked questions and answers. Keep an eye on that page for the latest updates.

  • Current information and Q&As from concerning the novel coronavirus in the Netherlands are available on the RIVM website.
  • The government of the Netherlands is taking various measures to control COVID-19. Find out more on this website.
  • Nuffic, the Dutch organisation for internationalisation in education, provides an overview of the impact of COVID-19 on international education.

Normally, AUAS organises Arrival Days to welcome international students before they start their programme. During these days you could arrange several practical matters at the same time.

Unfortunately, we cannot welcome you this way due to the Dutch corona crisis measures. We will organise alternatives to ensure you will experience a soft landing in Amsterdam. Keep an eye on these webpages, which will be updated regularly with new information.

We look forward to welcoming you to Amsterdam!

What practical matters do you need to arrange upon arrival in Amsterdam?

(these topics will be updated when we have new information)

  • Arriving in Amsterdam: public transport
  • Collect your room key for AUAS Housing
  • Register with the municipality of Amsterdam
  • Collect your student ID card
  • Open a Dutch bank account
