About Josje Schoufour
Josje Schoufour is associate professor of the Strength and Vitality in Ageing research line within the research group Nutrition and Exercise. As a researcher, she works on the SPRONG programme ‘People in Motion’. Within this programme, knowledge on healthy nutrition and physical activity is linked to behaviour change using technology.
Josje completed her Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Health in 2009 and her Master’s in Nutritional Physiology in 2011 at Wageningen University. In 2015, she obtained her PhD at Erasmus MC. Her research focused on frailty in older adults with an intellectual disability.
She specialises in nutrition, physical activity and ageing. Her focus is on at-risk groups, such as vulnerable older adults in Amsterdam.
